Key Responsibilities

💼 Your mission – or, in other words: your tasks

  • You develop and operate the portals through which our customers use their sovereign cloud — from self-service ordering and tenant management to transparency over resources, costs, and permissions.
  • You design, develop, and maintain the web services and APIs (REST and SOAP) that connect these portals to our cloud platforms, CMDB, identity management, and billing systems.
  • You develop and operate our central data platform, which collects, harmonizes, and enriches data from the source systems behind the cloud — inventory, monitoring, usage, and contract data.
  • You deploy and operate containerized applications— running in our own certified data centers.
  • You maintain and optimize our CI/CD pipelines so that deployments are automated, reproducible, and auditable.
  • You keep sovereignty requirements in the code, not just in the concept: data residency, GDPR, clean role and permission models, and traceable audit trails.
  • You actively shape our database architecture and data models, with a focus on performance, quality, and maintainability.
  • You implement new requirements in close collaboration with stakeholders and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • You continuously improve our platform, our development processes, and our technical standards.
  • You participate in architectural decisions, review code, and pass your experience on to others.

Skills

🧠 What you bring to the table – besides the desire to make a difference

  • You have experience in developing web applications and RESTful APIs with modern frameworks and technologies — whether from your studies, your first years on the job, or your own projects.
  • You are confident with JavaScript/TypeScript and PHP, and shell scripting in a Linux environment doesn't scare you.
  • You have solid knowledge of MySQL/MariaDB, database design, and data modeling.
  • You are familiar with modern web technologies and enjoy building interfaces that people actually like using.
  • You have worked with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling such as GitLab or Azure DevOps — or you are keen to get properly into it.
  • You are interested in containers, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies, and you find the topic of digital sovereignty genuinely relevant rather than just a buzzword.
  • You are familiar with modern web technologies and enjoy creating intuitive graphical user interfaces.
  • You are comfortable in both Linux and Windows environments.
  • You enjoy working independently while staying closely connected to stakeholders and an agile development team.
  • You are business fluent in English, written and spoken. German language skills are an advantage.

What makes it even better – but is not a must:

  • You have run Kubernetes workloads in production and know your way around Helm, GitOps, or service meshes.
  • You have integrated identity and access management (Keycloak, OIDC, SAML) or built multi-tenant permission models.
  • You have worked with the APIs of cloud and virtualization platforms such as OpenStack, Proxmox, or VMware.
  • You have dealt with SOAP and legacy interfaces and know how to integrate them without letting them dictate your architecture.
  • You have been in touch with security and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, BSI C5, or NIS2.
  • You have experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Vue or React.

What we offer

  • We bring you on board, individually and with a personal mentor at your side.

  • We celebrate together and do sport together. Whether as a hobby or when taking part in amateur races - we are happy to sponsor you and your colleagues to take part in sporting events! You can get the necessary equipment for this in our company's own DATAGROUP store!
  • We have also special leave days
  • Company health insurance
