Key Responsibilities

  • Design, planning and implementation of network architectures in an SDDC environment is one of your tasks.
  • You will also be responsible for setting up and managing VMware NSX environments for network virtualization and segmentation.
  • You will develop, implement and optimize network and security policies based on NSX.
  • You will work with DevOps teams to automate, manage and integrate network infrastructures into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proactively monitor and optimize network performance and security
  • Analyzing, diagnosing and resolving complex network issues in virtualized environments is also part of your tasks.
  • You will be responsible for documenting architectures, processes and training IT teams in new technologies and procedures.

Skills

  • You have a university degree in computer science, network administration or a comparable qualification.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in network design, preferably in an SDDC environment and with VMware NSX.
  • You have extensive knowledge of network virtualization with VMware NSX (including firewalling, VPN, switching and routing within NSX).
  • You have extensive knowledge of VMware Aria Operations for Networks
  • You also have experience with DevOps tools (e.g. Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes) and scripting languages such as Python, Bash or PowerShell.
  • You have an understanding of automation processes and CI/CD pipelines and their application in network and cloud management.
  • Analytical and conceptual skills to solve complex network and architecture problems are also part of your skill set.
  • You are a team player with strong communication skills and the ability to share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Certifications such as VCP-NV (VMware NSX) or other relevant qualifications are a plus.
  • You speak business fluent English - both written and spoken / German language skills are desirable.
